Cliff Kindy: Peacemaker and Educator on the Dangers of Depleted Uranium Weapons

Cliff Kindy has spent parts of several years on peacemaking trips to Iraq. He is a member of CPT which places violence-reduction teams in crisis situations and militarized areas around the world at the invitation of local peace and human rights workers. CPT embraces the vision of unarmed intervention waged by committed peacemakers ready to risk injury and death in bold attempts to transform lethal conflict through the nonviolent power of truth and love.

Cliff Kindy is NOT an EDUCATOR on depleted uranium -- he is a PROPAGANDIST. He may not realise it, but he has been had by a combination of lies that began with Saddam Hussein's government in the early 1990's in order to convince activists like Kindy to get the UN Sanctions lifted. The photos that are the heart of this campaign are genuine photos of birth defects but they are not due to depleted uranium. Some are of the Harlequin Fetal Syndrome (Harlequin Ichthyosis) and many of the others are just beginning to be discussed at

Cliff has been heavily influenced by Douglas Lind Rokke. Rokke is a con artist who found that "spreading the word about DU" pays better than being a substitute science teacher in the Urbana Illinois Public Schools. Not too many PhDs are nothing more than a substitute teacher and being a PhD when you post to the net, make a video to sell, post a video to YouTube or appear in public makes you more credible. What Rokke fails to tell the reader or audience is that the PhD is in Vocational Education and has absolutely nothing to do with DU. If you want to learn more about the real Rokke, I have posted records that I obtained under FOIA in the Files Section of the Yahoo Group DUStory. You can access them by following the instructions at Message 77 - -- you can learn more about DU and radiation in general from actual scientific reports not activist lies and speculation at
